I can’t hardly believe that here we are, less than two weeks away from A New Lease on Death hitting the bookshelves. So much of publishing is “hurry up and wait” that sometimes time sneaks up on me. But here we are, with the end of October just around the corner. Speaking of which, have you bought your Halloween candy? Are your decorations up? Have you put the finishing touches on your costume? And most importantly, have you preordered your copy of A New Lease on Death yet?

Signed Pre-Orders!

Time’s quickly running out to place your signed, personalized pre-order!

You can order from the lovely folks at The Bookshelf on Church and they’ll ship direct to you! Make sure you put personalization instructions in the check-out notes!! I’ll also include a bookmark and sticker (while supplies last).

Audiobook News

Can I get a show of hands for all my audiobook fans out there?

The A New Lease on Death audiobook is available for preorder at your favorite retailers!  Dual narrated by the talented Stefanie Kay (as Ruby) & Petrea Burchard (as Cordelia), I got a preview and I was blown away with how they bring the story to life!

Check out this fantastic review of A New Lease on Death from Booklist:

“This series starter from Blacke (Rhythm and Clues, 2024) offers a creative take on the typical cozy mystery, with an enjoyable amount of laughs sprinkled amongst all the paranormal world building. Ruby is immature yet relatable and quirky, while Cordelia is earnest and snarky. This pair of amateur detectives just works, and readers will root for them and the friendship they’re building. The satisfying conclusion offers the promise of a sequel. Recommended for readers who enjoy their cozies with a paranormal twist.”
