Just thinking about MEET ME IN PARADISE gives me goose bumps. Within the pages of MEET ME IN PARADISE (available Mar 23, 2021 from Berkley/Penguin Random House), I experienced love and heartbreak, devastation and healing. Beautifully written, it is both clever and heart wrenching, simultaneously playful and tragic. Be prepared to examine your own life while reading, and keep the Kleenex handy.

Marin Cole has never . . .
Seen the ocean
Climbed a mountain
Taken a risk on love
. . . But if her sister’s plan works, she just might do all three.

I would give this book 8 out of 5 stars if I could. It broke my heart. Read it when you need an uplifting cry. Plan on reading it in one sitting, beginning to end. You won’t want to leave Marin, Sadie, and Lucas. Trust me.” – Goodreads reviewer

Libby Hubscher Author.

Hi! I’m Libby Hubscher, and I’m a women’s fiction and contemporary romance author. I’ve been enamored with love stories since I was a little girl and snuck my first romance novel from the church yard sale and hid it under my pillow. Yes, they were swoony, but the idea of lonely people finding each other and falling in love was something that gave me hope during the toughest times. As an author, what I enjoy most is writing about people who are going through challenging, painful experiences and having them find joy and love amidst those hard things. The idea that I could give a reader the hope I’d enjoyed reading all those years is honestly such a privilege.

I live near Raleigh, North Carolina with my family, with my Mr. Clean lookalike husband, two young children, and too many pets—including a pitbull who says I love you. I actually write almost all the time, since my day job is writing for a health economics and outcomes research consultancy.

Libby, I read your fantastic debut MEET ME IN PARADISE. It was breathtaking. Literally. The *only* complaint I have is that I can’t wipe out my memory so I can re-read it and experience it all over from scratch. Tell me a little bit about your novel.

It’s the story of Marin Cole, an anxious homebody, and the love of her life, her wild younger sister Sadie. At its heart, it’s about how fear can hold us back and prevent us from truly living, because really living and loving is taking a risk, a risk that’s worthwhile.

It’s such a unique and well-crafted book. Marin is so afraid of ever experiencing loss again that she forgets to live. What inspired MEET ME IN PARADISE?

I wrote this book when I was enduring a rather serious health crisis with my autoimmune disease and dealing with a lot of fear. It was an escape for me–who wouldn’t want to go to a tiny tropical island when they can barely get out of bed–but also a special kind of therapy. My sincerest wish is that it this book gives readers a bit of hope and maybe a little inspiration to step outside of their comfort zones once in a while.

“Grab some tissues & curl up in a comfy spot because once you start reading this beautifully moving romance you won’t want to stop! MEET ME IN PARADISE…combines the fun of a beach read with the intricacies of sister bonds, the humility of self-discovery & the swoon of a slow burning romance to create a novel that is 100% pure pleasure!” – Priscilla Oliveras, USA Today Bestselling Author

Libby Hubscher Meet Me In Paradise

Ever since her journalist mother died on assignment, Marin has played it safe, refusing to set foot outside the state of Tennessee. Her wild-child younger sister, Sadie, has trotted the globe as a photographer, living off of art and adrenaline.

When Sadie returns from a tough assignment abroad and looks a little worse for wear, Marin reluctantly agrees to a sisters’ spa weekend on the tropical island of Saba. But her lifelong fear of travel is affirmed when Sadie misses the flight, Marin’s luggage gets mixed up with another passenger’s, and an episode of turbulence sends her hurtling  into the lap of Lucas Tsai, the handsome stranger who stole her sister’s seat.

For the first time in a long time, Marin has to step outside of her comfort zone as she explores the island with Lucas and learns what she’s been missing out on. With each breathtaking new experience, Marin gets closer to her real self, the man she’s falling for, and the heart-wrenching truth about why she’s there in the first place.

“Both a romantic escape and an ode to sisterhood, Meet Me in Paradise made me swoon, laugh, and then sneaked up on me and made me cry. Marin and Sadie are the beating heart of this story—I adored them in all their wild, wonderful messiness. A radiantly hopeful book.” -Rachel Lynn Solomon, Author of TODAY TONIGHT TOMORROW and THE EX TALK.

What’s next for you? I can’t wait to read the next Libby Hubscher novel!

Currently, I’m working on my next book, a contemporary romance called IF YOU ASK ME. It’s the story of North Carolina’s most beloved advice columnist, Violet Covington, who always has the perfect answer for everything, until her charmed life is shattered by the revelation that her husband is cheating on her with their neighbor while she’s sweating at bootcamp class. She goes a bit rogue, gives some really bad advice, and along the way realizes that sometimes it takes busting your life into pieces to find real happiness.

Libby, thanks for taking the time to us! Where can we find and follow you? Where and when can we buy MEET ME IN PARADISE?
