Out of all of the questions I’ve been asked my favorite has been “What research did you do for the novel?” and I’d like to share the answer here ICYMI (or ‘in case you missed it’): Amateur sleuth Odessa Dean works at Untapped Books & Café, and what would a café in Williamsburg be without craft beer? I’m actually not much of a beer drinker – so for research, I got to go around to a bunch of local-to-me craft breweries and sample all the different beers. This was before COVID, obviously, and it was really fun grabbing a group of friends and asking them go beer tasting with me. I never even had to twist their arms! Research, baby. Can’t beat it.
