Happy November, Y’all!

Howdy! And to any new subscribers, welcome! I don’t know about you, but this time of year, I’m all about flannel and fuzzy socks (even on those days when it’s freakishly warm.) I’m between rounds of edits and drafts so I find myself curling up under a heavy crocheted blanket to catch up on my reading. I hope you’re able to find the time to do the same! Then you’ll be ready for Rhythm and Clues (the third cozy mystery in the Record Shop series) when it comes out next spring. ☕🎵

I’m so excited that Vinyl Resting Place is included in the November First For Women Book Club! Check it out to see why Vinyl Resting Place (“Full of heart and unexpected twists, this read had me on my toes from start to finish”) is one of the 7 Feel-Great Reads You’ll Love For November 2023.

*Free* B-Sides Short Story

Streaming music is convenient, but I still long for the days of hidden tracks and B-side songs. In the spirit of finding a brand new tune on the other side of a single, I wanted to offer a free short story: Track-or-Treat. Set in the Record Shop Mysteries‘ Sip & Spin Records, in Track-or-Treat, Juni finds herself in the middle of a Halloween mystery. Can she uncover the truth before the pumpkin hits midnight?

Love mysteries? Love puzzles? Then you’re going to LOVE Murdle – a logic puzzle game with a running murder mystery. With a daily online game and several paperback books out, there’s lots of ways to get your Murdle on but my favorite is the Murdle Mystery Author Crossover Event! Check out fun Murdle puzzles based on historical, traditional, and cozy mysteries like Vinyl Resting Place.

ICYMI – Cozy Mystery authors take over PA

Image description

I was so excited to be invited to the inaugural Cozy Mystery Fete sponsored by the Mechanicsburg Mystery Bookshop in PA last month. Some of my favorite cozy mystery authors (including some new-to-me authors!) got to interact with readers and mystery enthusiasts, sign books, and participate in mystery BINGO.

If you missed this event, keep an eye out on this newsletter and my socials (FacebookTwitterInstagramBsky) so you never miss a future event! And check out Mechanicsburg Mystery Bookshop in person or online if you’re looking to buy a signed book. They ship!
